The Young Investigators Group (YIG) is a dynamic, diverse, and inclusive community, dedicated to supporting early-career researchers and clinicians in the field of Hypertension. Our mission is to foster professional development, encourage scientific collaboration, and promote the exchange of knowledge and ideas among emerging leaders in Hypertension. Recognizing the critical role that young investigators play in advancing the field, the Young Investigators Group seeks to provide a robust platform that enables networking, mentorship, and skill-building at all stages of early career development – from students and trainees to postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty.

The ESH Young Investigators Group Board is composed of 14 members ensuring a well- balanced geographical representation and equitable gender diversity.

Our Objectives

  • Promote knowledge exchange: organize educational activities that highlight innovative research and emerging trends in hypertension;
  • Encourage networking and interdisciplinary collaboration: facilitate connections among young professionals across institutions, research disciplines, and clinical specialties to advance collaborative projects and interdisciplinary research;
  • Represent and support early-career medical professionals and investigators: provide resources for grant writing, leadership training, and academic advancement, alongside formal and informal mentorship opportunities with senior experts in the field;
  • Enhance engagement: provide opportunities for young investigators to actively contribute to the scientific community through leadership roles, conference participation, and outreach activities;
  • Foster an inclusive community: cultivate a professional environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences can be supported and empowered.
