The main purpose of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) is to provide a stable and organised European platform for scientific exchange in hypertension.
Membership in the European Society of Hypertension is open to physicians who are scientifically active in hypertension research.
There are a number of benefits associated with the membership, such as continuous information from the Society by letters and by our new Internet Website.
- To identify hypertension specialists in Europe
- To contribute to the formation of these specialists by teaching and training courses on hypertension
- To improve treatment of hypertension in Europe and thus obtain a better prevention of cardiovascular disease.
The objectives of ESH are to promote, endorse and organise activities involved with the continuing medical education in the field of hypertension and associated cardiovascular diseases.
Such activities are carried out primarily by an annual meeting and through special scientific meetings, seminars, publications and specific educational programs.
Moreover, ESH encourage and promote, alone or in conjunction with other scientific societies and members of health delivery professions, postgraduate training and international exchange of investigators, teachers, fellows and students.
